Races total are starting to be called quicker.

Races to close to call (probably be days or week to determine winner) - 3 (all projected Democrats wins before the election).

I've even heard people say it's not nearly as bad as many predicted.


I read and listened to A LOT before today. Most were in the 47-54 range. A couple went as high as 64.

Nobody, outside a few brief moments in the media today when things were touch and go, said ANYTHING about 70-90.

Bottom line, you can spin anything.


One last point:

Hispanics are supposed to be owned by the Dems and the GOP is, in the words of our President, their enemies.

We now have a Cuban-American Republican Senator in Florida. We have a FEMALE Hispanic Governor in New Mexico.

There are others. There are also 2 African American Conservatives elected to the House in predominately white districts in Texas.

The GOP is a lot more inclusive than they are portrayed. We'll see if that is covered in the MSM. I won't be holding my breath.

Heading to bed but with +62 seats (and likely more) the democrats got a historic butt kicking.

538 has +60 for the GOP with 13 undecided.

I have California 11 and 20, Virginia 11, Washington 2 and 9, Michigan 9.

Illinois 8, Arizona 7 and 8. Georgia 2 and Kentucky 6.

New York 25 and Texas 27.

Unless I missed something, all are currently Democratic seats.

Texas 27 and Washington 2 look to be the most likely pickups. Maybe California 11. I am not sure how 538 came up with 64-66.

It is indeed a huge number; bigger than I expected.

It is indeed a huge number; bigger than I expected.

It is kind of ironic....just when you think the electorate doesn't get it, they send some people back to Congress that make no sense, but on the same ticket elect a new Governor by a wide margin.

If you showed me the House results in PA for instance, I would have assumed the Governor and Senate would have been a breeze, yet they were closer than expected.

I think what this election said was we don't want any one group in power like that...ever again.

And California, you just don't get it at all.
