In the face of media prediction of Republican blowout victories for Tuesdays, some democrats are predicting a punch in the face to Republican chances. Why - Obama has secretly rallied the minority vote that won't show up in the polls. The republican Tsunami will be just a rogue wave here and there.

Democrats are predicting better-than-expected results for their side while Republicans are downplaying the extent of their expected victory in Tuesday's congressional elections.

Of course there is talk that it is going exactly the opposite but those democrats don't want to go on record.

I know – that was just my lame attempt at a Heaven’s Gate cult reference – not sure why it popped in my head. I think they were the cult that believed, after they committed suicide, that a spaceship would arrive take them to some other plane of existence, or something. I could be wrong.
