Oh come on…Do you want a dissertation on New York state politics? If so, I think I drafted several posts related to the NY-23 race that might prove instructive.

I thought this guy was a bucket full of awesome. Besides, I am in debt to him…sort of: I think “the rent is too damn high” is going to be my answer to every question I don’t want to answer from now on till armageddon. Why didn’t I clean the kitchen? Because the rent is too damn high. Why did I drink that bottle of Nyquil? Because the rent is too damn high. Why didn’t I finish that memo? Because the rent is too damn high.

I know how important Jimmy McMillan and his Rent Is Too Damn High Party is to everyone; however, I have sad news:

McMillan, received fewer than 40,000 votes; had he hit 50,000, his party would have automatically been on the ballot in the next election. :(

Also, troubling news from New York state is that the Republican gubernatorial candidate, Carl Paladino, went out with a concession speech for which the word “psychotic” would seem to be an understatement. He was more than a disaster; Paladino was an enormous drag at the top of the ticket, losing by nearly 28 points and in doing so, embarrassing himself and his party so much that good GOP candidates went down to defeat when they really ought to have won.
