Something is screwy about the transactions concerning the planned site. The old Burlington Coat Factory building was sold to the mosque group for 70% less then what was offered by another buyer.

You also have to wonder why Mayor Bloomberg is so vehemently opposed to any changes to the plan, in the same way that the mosque developers were so vehemently opposed to even talking with the NY Governor to discuss an alternate site. You get the feeling that if it couldn't be built there it wouldn't be built anywhere. There is no legitimate markteplace demand or underserved population there. It's like the place is magical to them. Magical or so ripe with bragging rights that the opportunity cannot be ignored.

Another thought is that the Imam will make a tidy profit on the building since he got it sooo cheap. By that time, they surely hope that we forget to watch where those dollars flow.

I believe in freedom of religion, but I also think the muslims should have more consideration for America than to build a mosque near ground zero.

There is only one son of God, and that is Jesus Christ, not Mohammad.
