Post-American President: Obama Wants FBI Access to Records of Your Internet Activity
The administration wants to add just four words -- "electronic communication transactional records" -- to a list of items that the law says the FBI may demand without a judge's approval. Government lawyers say this category of information includes the addresses to which an Internet user sends e-mail; the times and dates e-mail was sent and received; and possibly a user's browser history. It does not include, the lawyers hasten to point out, the "content" of e-mail or other Internet communication.

Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.
Save Shocker Sports - A rallying cry

Indonesia tried banning porn during Ramadan by controlling the internet

Mr. Sembiring says the plan will work, and in time for the fasting month. During an interview, he said that service providers would adopt a government keyword filtering system known as Trust Positif, which is already in use in many of the government’s computer networks.
but it didn't work out so well

JAKARTA — Hardcore porn was broadcast on the Indonesian parliament's internal information service Monday, shocking journalists and bureaucrats who rely on the screens for updates on political events.

Hardcore images apparently taken from the Internet filled the screens used by reporters, political staffers and visitors for about 15 minutes before security guards managed to shut it off, reporters said.

"Whoever hacked the screens is insolent and will be reported to the authorities," he told reporters.

This is just a continuation of the policy President Bush and the congress set after 9/11. It is part of the Patriot Act. Supposedly it is to be able to better track and find terrorists and groups of terrorists in its application. However like other parts of the Patriot Act it also allows for intrusion for discovery of other "wrongdoers" if they are found while "looking for terrorists" such as drug dealers, money launderers, etc.
