Interesting, albeit long, article in Commentary – thoughts?

What Kind of Socialist Is Barack Obama?

As usual, Jonah makes a lot of interesting points and is on top of things. I'm not sure I can argue against what he's saying.
Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
    RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.
Save Shocker Sports - A rallying cry

      Seriously...he said this?:

In a September 2009 press conference, Obama suggested that a publicly funded health-care system might help “avoid some of the overhead that gets eaten up at private companies by profits and excessive administrative costs”—thus mistaking the act of making money, the foundational cornerstone of capitalism itself, with the generation of unnecessary expenses.
Excuse me, you're trying to convince us that the government is this lean, mean efficiency machine?

EXCESSIVE ADMINSTRATIVE COSTS? Aren't those called "JOBS"?
PROFITS? Isn't that typcially used for payroll, R&D for new products and expansion (more jobs)?

Their insidious march towards everything being a government-regulated non-profit entity continues. They simply seem to want everything to be a utility company, like the gas and electric companies.

Yeah, you're right: there's a lot of R&D and new products coming out of the health insurance industry. Maybe new reasons and ideas to withhold benefits or deny coverage.

I was extrapolating that to their feeling towards every industry. But nice job picking out one little aspect and talking about it.

No comment about the wonderful virtues of government efficiency?
