WASHINGTON -- Sarah Palin created quite the stir late last week when she called for President Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel to be fired over privately using the word "retarded" in a pejorative manner. The former Republican vice presidential candidate, whose child has Down Syndrome, took to Face...

It's called parody and satire, demonstrating absurdity by being absurd.

Not that many liberals have a sense of humor...

Rush set the trap and the liberals jumped right into it...as always.

These liberal lapdogs are soooo predictable it's pathetic.

Another Rush Media Tweak of the Day? I thought liberals were the smartest, most generous people in our fair land. If so, whey do they continually prove themselves the least charitable and the most gullible?

It amazes me that you tebaggers didn't catch the hypocracy in this one.

Wu-shizzle, Capitol, and ISASO, you are officially on the "not bright enough to have any sensible political discourse with" list.

When Rahm says some Dems are acting "retarded" for their actions, Palin is all over it.

When Rush calls several people Retards, Palin defends his use of the term as "satire," while at the same time her press agent sends a letter to the media chastising Rush as well.

It seems that when Palin steps outside her handlers, she comes of a buffoon.

And those who continue to back her come off the same.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Wow - simply shocking that there is inconsistency in political rhetoric and actions.

What did Palin/Rham/Mother Teresa/Bob Knight/Dick Vitale say when President Obama made the Special Olympics crack about his bowling skill.

              Who gives a shiite?

Why is the left so concerned about Palin? It is the left's infatuation that keeps her anywhere relevant and able to cash in on her 5 minutes of fame.

As a conservative, there is no way I would ever vote for her. It would be about as stupid as voting for the Obama/Biden ticket.

Here's an interesting article comparing John Edwards' qualifications for national office and how the media reacted contrasted with how they treated Palin.

I love the quote from Elizabeth Edwards.

One of the media's favorite attacks against Palin revolves around her failure to tell Katie Couric what magazines and newspapers she regularly reads. The clumsy answer was an early flash point that led many to scoff that the Alaskan governor didn't read anything at all.

"But guess who doesn't read very much either? That would be John Edwards, if you believe John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's new book "Game Change." According to their reporting, when a friend inquired if John Edwards read a particular tome, his wife, Elizabeth, apparently found the idea of her husband reading laugh-out-loud funny, saying, 'Oh, he doesn't read books.'"

A)They can't help themselves. Liberals are convinced they are smarter than everyone else, so they have to demean anyone on the right.

B)Everyone knows Palin is unelectable. What scares them to death is that whomever the GOP decides to put forth will be backed by her backers....and that is an ever increasingly large amount of pissed off conservatives. They make fun of her hoping to get the right to give up.

C)Liberals can't win against fact so they have attack people. Their stance loses whenever the facts are presented to the public. When misleading statements and dreams are promised, like hope and change, enough stupid people will latch on and the left will win, in the short term.

Then reality sets in and the straw house comes tumbling down.
