On Mar. 19, Knox told the San Francisco-based gay newspaper The Bay Area Reporter, “The Knights of Columbus do a great deal of good in the name of Jesus Christ, but in this particular case [Proposition 8], they were foot soldiers of a discredited army of oppression.”

The newspaper further reported: “Knox noted that the Knights of Columbus ‘followed discredited leaders,’ including bishops and Pope Benedict XVI. ‘A pope who literally today said condoms don't help in control of AIDS.’”

According to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Web site, the religion and faith program run by Knox has created “a weekly preaching resource that provides scriptural commentary to ministers and lay people interested in an ecumenical gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender perspective on the Bible."

It's no wonder that the independents are running, not walking, away from the Democrats. The Republicans by no means have their house in order, but when a choice has to be made, this group of crazies will be summarily dismissed.

The moderates in this country that voted in the dumbest and least qualified President of all time have got to be ashamed of themselves. Thank God for Scott Brown and Massachusetts. Undoing that potential fiasco might have taken 3 generations instead of the 2 we are currently facing.

Maybe it's more about political payback. Afterall, that group is on his case big-time to fulfill the promises he made to them during the campaign. A recurring theme across the entire spectrum of his presidency.

Yes, political payback. The administration seems more interested in Chicago-style politics than doing what's right for the country.

Witness Van Jones, et al. Either they don't care about the impact of their choices for policy-makers OR WORSE, they do care about their appointments and this is really the direction they want to take the country, catering to extreme fringe groups like communists and GLBT, making them mainstream.

We are hoping it's pure stupidity or politics and not the dark alternative.
