I'm shocked that there is no response from those on the board to this clear act of "judicial activism".

No surprise that this has been largely ignored by the majority of the media out there.

Would you agree that judicial activism occurs when judges abandon constitutional or statutory meaning and impose their policy preferences instead?

I'm pretty sure it has NOT been ignored by the media and it certainly wasn't ignored by the White House.

The President openly and verbally chastised the court for this decision and I heard about it SEVERAL times this weekend.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that is the President's place. In fact, I'm sure it's not.

He and his crew are moving full speed ahead with his class warfare plan with the State of the Union address being the next salvo in an attempt to continue his campaigning for "the people".

My only comment at this time is that I suspect Obama and Hugo Chavez are on the same side of this issue.

Considering the socialist source, I understand your thought process.

And unions, lawyers & liberal whack jobs don't?

So Mr. Populist, should all the "evil corporations" give all their profits to you? The President? Who is good enough and smart enough how to decide how to spend their ill gotten gains?

The devil challenged authority and got his own kingdom, and that goes to the heart of what left is really about. That of course is to get power any way you can, including lying, cheating and stealing. The ultimate rule is that the ends justify the means.

                Wow.

Forgot to give credit to George Soros for birthing Barack Obama along with the rest of those great patriots mentioned above.

I have issues with corporations (as well as unions or any other non-individual) having too much influence in the political process. However, since they are taxed they do deserve to have some influence. I'm fine with them producing and publicizing political ads.

I would like to see them barred from making campaign contributions.

Is it true now that not only can U.S. corporations do this, but also foreign corporations?

As we have seen with Democrats - they take foreign contributions regardless of whether it is legal or not. If caught they say "we didn't know - we will return it". How do we know they actually return it? Has anybody actually followed them when they actually returned it? Do they have proof? [said in my seinfeld voice]

Every day Obama looks more and more like Chavez. Chastising the courts. Go after anything capitalistic in nature. I'm just waiting for him to start nationalizing something (oh wait, he already is trying - Health Care).

                            The hypocrites strike again.

Obama received the highest number and highest dollar amount of campaign contributions ever received via the internet.

How closely were those tracked? Any foreign IP addresses in those log files, Mr. Transparency?

Also, a huge number of donations were received via gift cards you purchase at grocery stores and convenience stores. That's a huge opportunity for laundering money and it went directly to his campaign.

Care to come clean on your laundered campaign funds, Mr. Transparent Hypocrit?
