We are governed at all levels by America's luckiest children, sons and daughters of the abundance, and they call themselves optimists but they're not optimists—they're unimaginative. They don't have faith, they've just never been foreclosed on. They are stupid and they are callous, and they don't mind it when people become disheartened. They don't even notice.

I think we all agree that politicians are, by and large idiots, I think our differences lie in which ones we think are the biggest of the idiots.

Not only are they typically uncaring, they legislate exemptions for themselves for the harmful things their constituents have to face.

Health care? Exempt from the plan they tout as a miracle cure.

Mortgage crisis? Never. They get sweetheart deals from Countrywide and their partners in crime in Chicago.

Pay cuts? No.

Downsizing and layoffs? No, their staffs and the bureaucracy only grows.

I care, sorry I worked hard for all the taxes I pay in. I would much rather have that money in my pocket to spend, on causes that have real meaning to me and my family. So, if these guys are spending my money (which they are), I want it spent on things that don't include what a lobyist is selling them.

You should care too!

But, that is my humble opinion, whatever that is worth!
