Re: Massachusettes to become medical police state?

My position isn't completely libertarian.
I do think allowing unconstitutional, warrantless searches of US citizens, as provided for in the Patriot Act is not worth the supposed security it provides. It's a bad trade and sets a dangerous precedent.
However, contrary to a true libertarian position, I think there is a time when we do need to get involved in foreign affairs, but only if it poses an identifiable threat to U.S. security. The mid-east region should have and should be dealing with Iraq/Iran. We should not be sacrificing American lives and pouring countless billions into protecting oil and/or Israel, a country with the means to wipe their neighbors off the map.
If that region tried and failed to deal with Iraq/Iran, and it appeared one or both had imperialistic goals, then I would be open to an argument supporting intervention.
But I digress. This has nothing to do with healthcare in MA.
It doesn't. People in Massachussets have figured out it is cheaper to not buy insurance, but pay the state fine for not buying insurance. Then if a medical crises happens, they then go out and buy the insurance.
