Martymoose, its a shame that you believe all that crap the media is spoon feeding everyone. They successfully ruined Palin the same way they ruined Dan Quayle. Both of them would have made great Presidents, both were targeted and ruined by the media, who got idiots like you to believe them. Have you read Palin's books? I'm guessing not. The thing people don't realize is that that the media as a whole is so left leaning that when Fox presents the facts straight up it makes them look like right wing nuts. The media is out to make money. What is the best way to make money? Please the consumer. Americans are so spoiled that they don't want to be told no. So when liberals want to wipe the Americans asses and pay for medicare and medicaid and healthcare and conservative step up and say no the media is going to blast them and make the liberals look good and conservatives look bad. Medicare and medicaid are good ideas, but this country does not have the money to pay for it. Those are the facts. And another thing. Conservatives are not looking to cut medicare and medicaid from the people that need it now. But my generation does not need it. College kids have years to save on their own. So those commercials with old people are just left wing propaganda to make conservative look bad. There is no reason to cut it for seniors. I got a little off topic but its just a pet peeve that ties into my original arguement. This country is going down the tubes with the media leading the way and blind idiots right behind. And taking money from those who have earned it is not going to fix it. Every body

Thank God she's not running for the GOP bid. That said Michele Bachmann looks like she could be a legitimate contender and not a pretty face airhead like Palin. It'll be fun to watch what happens.

Sorry to those that disagree, but she should have never been the VP choice.

Sorry for the triple post. I'm on my phone... if a moderator would be so kind as to delete the first two and thus one I would appreciate it.

Not sure who would have been a better VP choice. McCain was a long shot from the start. Palin helped make it look a little more respectable in the final tally. She's not near as bad as the media tries to make her. With that said, it's a good thing she didn't jump into the race.

I was never that sure who I wanted as the VP mate, however, with McCain's health questions, the idea of her being thrusted into the Presidency was no more appealing to me than was Obama. I think the VP choice should have been someone that people would have felt more comfortable about their ability and experience to handle the job. Also, someone who could have totally rattled Biden and made him appear as weak as he really was/is.

Fair enough, but McCain had to reach to the right. I don't even remember who else was rumored anymore.

Seems like she has found her nitch as a conservative cheerleader while making big $$$. Evidently the left must think she is some kind of threat for something as they are always attacking her - which is what she wants because it makes her relevant and brings in more $$$.

McCain wanted Lindsey Graham, his advisers talked him into Palin.

Without Palin, BHO wins by double digits.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bachmann on the VP ticket, Christie on the VP ticket would be all kinds of fun.

Graham would have done nothing for him. Palin was definitely the better choice.

                            I fear it'll be Romney.

As splintered a Republican group as there is out there with everyone having their own favorite, pehaps better questions might be:

If anyone, what combination of P/VP might have the best chance of defeating Obama that would be at least somewhat satisfactory to you if elected?

Who, among those likely to have their hat in the ring, do you NOT want as a P or VP candidate?
