  • Covert influence campaign

The type of stuff you thought was only in movies is really happening and becoming public. This gives credence to the alleged connections between Trump and Putin/Russia, IMO.

Trump advisers waged covert influence campaign

On the flip side of the aisle, there is also this story that I don't think many know about.

Yes, and AP is reporting that Mannefort worked as an unregistered lobbyist for a foreign country. It appears to be a violation of federal law. So not only do you have Trump's campaign manager committing what could be a violation of federal law, you have to have at least some level of questioning as to how much Mannefort's influence had on Trump's glowing words about Putin.

And ironically enough, the company that Mannefort worked for has John Podesta working for them. It looks like he also took Russian cash from Mannefort. Podesta is known as a 'fixer' for the Clinton family.

More evidence (as if anyone needs it) that we, as a nation, are screwed. These folks all curse and talk bad about each other in public, but give each other blow jobs by the dashboard lights (when no one is watching).

I also just noted that John Podesta is working for Hillary's campaign (He's with her :)).

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

No, I'm not suggesting a bloody revolution. But it's going to take a significant dismantling of Washington to get us unscrewed, if that's even possible.

On a complete tangent, I really wish people would stop using the term "patriot" outside of a revolutionary context, or football, if it means beating them.
