In a surprise action to absolutely no one, Bannon has been fired.

One of the characteristics of a successful businessman is the ability to hire the right people and surround themselves with outstanding talent. An inability to maintain top-level hires is usually considered the mark of a failed person in business. In business, firing recent hires is considered a sign of a person's inability to handle the hiring process, which generally relegates them to a position where they are not involved in hiring or firing decisions.

The media is unhinged about him lying (see omitting) his comment regarding "many sides". Personally, I think he should have said that too because there is nothing wrong with it in my mind, but that's just me. I'm reasonable.

I do think he, AGAIN, missed an opportunity to unite. Just because President Obama was divisive doesn't mean he gets to be or has to be. He can be right and unifying. He has that ability. He IS the President. But last night was just silly narcissism and playing to the base.

I would have had no problem at all if he lambasted McCain and Flake and McConnell. They are part of the problem and barely different from Schumer, Pelosi and the like (excluding Maxine Waters who is a total nutjob in her own category).

He had no choice but to defend his stance against bigotry. The media machine for the last 10 days has said what happened in Va was his fault; As if only one side should have been condemned. He also unmistakably mentioned all people in the country being a part of his platform didn't he? Theatrical? For sure. He's not a politician, which is why he won (not because of bigotry).

His base has been under attack too. For months, and it's only getting worse, due to the ineffective Russia ruse. The rabblerousers didn't make their first appearance in Va.

If Trump was known for being level and taking his time with sensitive incidents, he'd have gotten far more leeway. Instead, the man known for going to twitter and ranting within hours every time a Muslim committed an act of terror decided that this time he would "wait for the facts." It is the hypocrisy that drove the story more than anything else.

As far as Russia goes, Trump is completely unconnected to Russia except:

His former national security adviser:

His son-in-law:

His son (Trump Jr):

His campaign manager (Paul Manafort):

His former adviser (Rick Gates):

His other former adviser (Carter Page):

His attorney general (Jeff Sessions):

And many, many more. Going into Trump's own connections would require a post at least this long. For reference, here is a more concise list of Trump's people and their relationships with Russia:

That said, besides "chickenhawks" and "media sucks, Hillary sucks, argle bargle", I'm not sure you've ever communicated anything of substance amidst that barrage.

So you did see the correaltion between the Justice Dept. and Trumps election victory, which I simply presented in the form of a graphic, then? I honestly couldn't tell, because you addressed everything but that. Unsurprisingly. But hey, at least we did agree on Dana didn't we?
