Hell, Pyush can't even run his OWN state, much less the senate. Have you seen the numbers in his own state? His numbers are slightly higher than 'none of the above'. Besides, his parents are Hindu. I think he's a plant by them and if elected will decree the cow a sacred animal and punish anyone eating steak to prison, because that's what they do in Bangalore.

Daily Kos is a progressive news site that fights for democracy by giving our audience information and resources to win elections and impact government. Our coverage is assiduously factual, ethical, and unapologetically liberal. We amplify what we think is important, with the proper context—not just what is happening, but how it's happening and why people should care. We give you news you can do something about.

You really struggle to understand bigotry, don't you?

As much as I support eating horsemeat (and I do).........we just cannot have cows declared sacred animals.

No he doesn't, he's an unabashed liberal. Liberals are great at pointing out bigotry, but because they are open minded and caring, they fail to see their own bigotted and closed kinded ways.

Example: Citing religious beliefs, clerk refuses to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples, liberals come unglued, cite separation of church and state; also claim religious beliefs make clerk unfit for office. On the contrary, a candidate for President questions that a Muslim might not be fit to be President because Sharia Law might supercede Constitution in eyes of the Muslim, liberals come unglued.

                    Really???

                    Hypocricy at its best!

Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

If the Repubs shut down the government over Planned Parenthood, they will deliver millions of votes to the Dems.

I agree. But at the same time, why aren't the dems culpable? They are equally willing to shut down government simply to continue to fund planned parenthood.

So you think the democrats should shut down the government to support planned baby killers?

Yeah, "planned baby killers" That's an example of one of my problems with the conservative Repub movement - using terminology that's more likely to inflame than inform.

The main goal of Planned Parenthood is not to provide abortion referrals (PP provides no abortion services themselves). PP's main goal is to provide info and meds to help low-income women avoid unwanted pregnancies.

PP is currently America's best resource for avoiding unwanted pregnancies among poverty-level women. That is the group most likely to seek either abortions or government assistance. PP is probably doing more that actually prevents abortions than any legislation Repubs are passing. PP is probably doing more to prevent government assistance to single mothers than any legislation Repubs are passing.

I was born and raised as a Christian and a Republican. Unfortunately, Christian values are getting cherry-picked by conservative Repubs. Christ was rather considerate of children, widows, the poor. Sharing that attitude today gets one labeled as a lib or a Socialist.

"Plannhed baby killer" is absolutely inaccurate and utterly disgusting.

I am a Christian Republican and I find this comment so utterly offensive that I can't just not comment on how inappropriate, stupid, and self-destructive statements like this are.
