Let's assume that Obama doesn't like Hillary and doesn't want her to get the democratic nomination. If you were Obama when would you give the AG then "wink" to allow the prosecutor to go to a grand jury?

Obama doesn't like Hillary. The question is, when does Obama think Bernie can win? Or, when can Obama convince Biden to run? Either of those events happen, and Hillary is DOA.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Nah, I'd think he'd take her for a whole lotta money. And I don't think he does link the Clintons. In fact, he may not like them so much that he just lets this play out. But only if it doesn't affect his reputation.

Now that you mention biden, it was interesting when he was asked if he regretted not running and he said "I regret it every day,".

            From NBC News

Emails from Hillary Clinton's home server contained information classified at levels higher than previously known, including a level meant to protect some of the most sensitive U.S. intelligence, according to a document obtained by NBC News.

In a letter to lawmakers, the intelligence community's internal watchdog says some of Clinton's emails contained information classified Top Secret/Special Access Program, a secrecy designation that includes some of the most closely held U.S. intelligence matters.

Two American intelligence officials tell NBC News these are not the same two emails from Clinton's server that have long been reported as containing information deemed Top Secret.

The intelligence community's internal watchdog said email from Clinton's home server contained info classified at a level beyond Top Secret.

State department refused to release 22 emails today during their weekly dump because they contained Top Secret information and would be to damaging if released. Hillary disputes the state department assessment.

Also there are leaks [seem] to be coming from the FBI that if the justice department doesn't seek an inditement that there may be major resignation including the FBI director.

Also there seems to be indication that it very possible that when Hillary says none of the information sent in her emails were branded secret/top secret could be true --- because it was copied over from the secure network and marking stripped.

The Obama administration will not indict her which will force a congressional investigation.

That will give her the ability to claim another right wing conspiracy.

That should buy her enough time to push it through the election.

I will be pleasantly surprised if Huma or Cheryl Mills or the Pantsuit herself, is actually charged.

I still think it will be Biden. President Barack Hussein Obama will agree not to jail her fat ass if she withdraws from the race.

I don't know if she broke the law and what will happen. But it is good cause to question her judgment. Once again, Joe is not going to enter the race.

She broke the law. Period. She put national security at risk. Period. She showed terrible judgment in setting up a personal email server to do state business. Period. The whole thing is egregious. Period.

That said, sadly, it doesn't matter. She was anointed eight years ago. Sadly, our political system is broken. We root for candidates like we follow our sports teams. We aren't that far away from people wearing political gear like they wear sports gear. We pull and support the frontrunner of our party (team), not the candidate that best matches our ideology, integrity or our expectations for being competent. Just like Republican support for Donald Trump.

Please set me straight on how we know she broke the law based on public info we now have.

Daily Kos is a progressive news site that fights for democracy by giving our audience information and resources to win elections and impact government. Our coverage is assiduously factual, ethical, and unapologetically liberal. We amplify what we think is important, with the proper context—not just what is happening, but how it's happening and why people should care. We give you news you can do something about.

The Progressives at the Daily Kos were admitting she committed felonies back in August.

The case against her is more damming with every document dump by the State Dept.

She wrote an email demanding that a classified email be scrubbed of its classification and sent to her unsecured email.

                              1. She set up a server so she could shield her emails from FOIA requests.

                              2. FOIA lawsuits after Benghazi found there were very little of her emails through the state department.

                              3. When they started digging deeper they found the server.

                              4. Hillary then said don't worry, I will scrub the emails and release what is relevant and delete all the other that are private emails.

                              5. During the scrub of these email by the State Department that required very intelligence agencies to review emails for stuff that may have retroactively classified (and thus needed to be redacted) they found 4 classified email (in the first 40 emails reviewed). The ICIG then referred the matter to the FBI for a possible security breach.

                              6. FBI then started a investigation on how much security information was on her server and whether it has been compromised. They were able to recover her deleted emails including email with classified information.

                              7. FBI found some emails that had top secret information (but markings were removed). Clinton and State department disputed the findings.

                              8. The IC IG then referred the emails to CIA and other intelligence agencies. They came to the same conclusion - Top Secret. Who ever is responsible for sending Top Secret information outside classified network have broken the law.

                              9. FBI expanded the Hillary email server investigation to Public Corruption in her foundation.

                              10. There is email where Clinton told her aids to remove security markings and send the information via unsecured means. At this time we don't know if this happened. But if this did happen those aides and Hillary should go to jail. This may explain why there is over 1,000 email with classified material in them with no markings.

                              11. Now we have 22 email that are being refused to be released by the State Department because they contain information either Top Secret or higher (with some rumored to contain HUMINT).

These things are all very problematic for Hillary and clearly somebody has broken the law. There is no way classified information moves from a classified server to non-secure server.

To me the keys are we don't know the stripped e-mail was sent and if e-mails were classified when sent.
