The problem is this delay has allowed ISIS to redeploy their forces to wait out the pending air strikes. After the a period time following the air strikes they will reassemble. For the Dick Cheney tin-foil hat wearing crowd......a former state department official says that ISIS will hit us from Venezuela:
By Joshua Philipp , Epoch Times Rumors that ISIL terrorists plan to attack the United States through Mexico have been spread recen...
I think this is about as far-fetched as it gets, but I'm putting it out here for consumption and comment.
I would discount this a ton. Venezuela, like most of Latin America, is Roman Catholic. They have an open dialogue with Iran, but a nexus between a nation of Catholics and a nation of Muslims just seems too far-fetched to me, even with all the drug-running and desperation currently enveloping Venezuela.

I guess you're part of the 'tin-foil hat crowd'. Sorry you can't read and discern that my point was that the theory of Venezuela sponsoring a terrorist attack on the US is pretty looney. I lump the Dickster in with those other loons who somehow think that Venezuela will sponsor a terrorist attack on us.
Your defense of Cheney is pretty amusing. Not that he doesn't have an obvious conflict of interest with all the contracts the now spun-off-from Haliburton Kellogg, Brown and Root had for logistics with the defense department.
And just for the record, here's the hogwash he's feeding congress, as reported from multiple sources.
According to CBS news.....
"United States must promptly move to get back on offense in the war on terror, former Vice President Dick Cheney said Wednesday":
The former vice president laid out his hopes and expectations for the plan President Obama will unveil Wednesday to defeat the Islamic militant group
"A day before President Barack Obama lays out his strategy to counter the ISIS terror threat, House Republicans sought the counsel of Dick Cheney, a key architect of the Iraq War"
I guess that war in Iraq worked out real well for us, especially the 2 trillion that didn't hit the budget until Obama moved it there.
But at least Rand Paul understands that Dick Cheney is guilty of professional malpractice:
Taking advice from Dick Cheney on how to fight a war is roughly equal to taking economic advice from Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover.
BTW, you're welcome.

How in the hell did I defend Dick Cheney? You haven't even established what it is he said that I should be arguing with you about. You posted an article and basically said that anyone who believes Obama's US agency staff is a Cheney nut job. Nah, Bush just crashed the economy and burned through a couple of trillion dollars trying to avenge his daddy's honor (and listening to Cheney's b.s.).
Romney might be responsible for Chickangunya fever, though, maybe his dad brought it back from Mexico when he left the Mormon settlement his granddaddy founded there.
I will observe this, though, you guys look like you vote a straight ticket. People who vote straight tickets are pretty dull.

I thought Obama would be a decent centrist Democrat. You know, campaign to your base and lead to the middle? I couldn't have been more wrong.
You just try to show everyone how "open minded" and progressive you are, all the while labeling and smearing people. The hypocrisy is hilarious. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. It is pretty freaking scary when the US & Iran can agree on a common enemy.

Saddam campaign of ethnic cleansing included:
Halabja - Chemical (5-10,000 killed
Anfal - Chemical/Execution (50,000 to 200,000 killed (estimated))
1991 - Executions after 1st Gulf War (20,000 - 100,000 kurds, 60,000 to 130,000 shia executed)
overall there are estimates between 250,000 to 1,000,000 people murder by Saddam and this doesn't include Iran/Iraq war.
