Seattle officials call for ban on 'potentially offensive' language

Apparently the term citizen is bad now. And I guess in NY they don't allow talk of dinosaurs, birthdays or Halloween... Political Correctness is part of what is hurting this country as a whole and creating a larger split between people. Our gov't is nuts.

    Taken from the article:

Dinosaurs, for example, conjures the topic of evolution, which could rile fundamentalists and birthdays are not celebrated by Jehovah’s Witnesses. Halloween, meanwhile, suggests an affiliation to Paganism.

It's impossible to quantify such stupidity. Halloween is derived from All Hallows Eve, a Catholic day of celebration preceding All Hallows Day, better known as All Saints Day and no I am not Catholic.

My deity is a citizen dinosaur with a brown bag and I celebrate his birthday on Halloween. This is an affront to my human rights.

Whoa. I can't believe you so callously used the word "human". Could you please be a little more sensitive of the donkeys out there, that you have clearly excluded?

DOH! There I went and did it. I used "sensitive" which is clearly a derogatory code word used to stereotype the homosexual community.

UT OH! I did it again! I used "community" which clearly is slang for socialist sympathizers!

BAH!!! By using the word "clearly" I have stirred up racial tensions with people that have no pigment what-so-ever and possibly intergalactic aliens though we aren't quite sure!!

AH CRAP, STOP ME NOW BEFORE I EMBARRASS MYSELF! What prompted me to brazenly use "stirred up" which is obviously a slight against the pinko, liberal, communist coffee zombies at the Stalinbucks coffee shop?!

AH ****!! I did it again!! I said "I" which OBVIOUSLY excludes everyone BUT ME!! Oh please, oh pleeeeeease forgive me while this person sits here sobbing. How could this person that wishes ... *sniffle* ... not to exclude others be so damn insensitive?!?!?! In fact this person is ... *sniffle* ... so ashamed to call this person a "person" because that might be ambiguous that this person now needs to refer to this person as a unit. This unit loves you, planet Earth (and Moon and asteroids and other planets and Sun and all the other stuff out there)!

Struggle to wrap my mind around the concept of a negative connotation associated with the words "citizen" and "brown bag."

Russian thistle has always been a term that I disliked. Chinese Elm is another.
