This is why we need a new party when we have people like Christie who either doesn't get it or is in on it and is suppose to be a republican. When you start down the slippery slope of taking away the american people liberty and violating our constitutional rights - you are on the road to tyranny.

And this is why Christie, once seen very favorably for how he took things on in NJ, has lost a lot of support from the conservative base.

I don't have the exact numbers but I've heard them reported a few times... I understand the threat of terrorism is there, and it's a horrible thing, but the odds of someone being effected by it on American soil is less than getting struck by lightning or winning the lottery. That being said, how can the federal gov't be so blatant in its abuse and overreach? I MAY understand the feds attempts to do so if we had to deal with terrorism on a higher level like Israel or something, but we don't and we have a Constitution that should protect us from what's going on at the hands of our own.
