A small-minded thought, wrapped in propagandistic paper, and delivered for consumption to even smaller-minded people.
If you wanna label poor migrant workers who are crossing the border to pick our fruit, cotton, and vegetables, criminals, so be it. But you won't be looking very informed while doing so.
Our entire mass-farming economy is supported by those "criminals". If we round them all up, are you prepared to pay $18.00 a container for strawberries? You wanna see inflation REALLY pop?
The macroeconomic consequences of illegal immigration far outweigh the microeconomic concern of fuggin strawberries.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Also, you can't tell me our economy doesn't depend on the $$ these migrants generate and spend. I'm no expert, but I don't see this ending well, especially when paired with the highly criticized tariffs increasing the prices of consumer goods.
Were they in California? Cesar Chavez didn’t take kindly to those UFW Union busters.

The problem isn't what ICE is actually doing. The problem (and it really isn't a problem, per se) is what the leftist media is saying ICE is doing. This is causing the propagandized lefties to think ICE is deporting planes of dreamers and entrpreneurs who came here illegally generations ago.
As I said it really isn't a problem because it's just causing the usual folks to lose their **** over imaginary happenings. We are all used to this by now. Welcome to the next 4 years.

I am also not in favor of deporting anyone who hasn't committed a crime after entering the country, and who can demonstrate that they have actually worked while here and contributed to communuties. We need to agree that we have plenty of room for those individuals in this country.
We need to be thankful that our immigration problem consists of a majority of people that share a base level of moral values.
Just look at Europe's problems to see what I mean. Some European countries are about 2 or 3 generations away from being an Islamic State."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

We should be more welcoming of those who simply want to work hard and better their lives, and those of their families. We shouldn't require them to jump through so many hoops to do so. As a whole, having these people here is a benefit to the country as a whole. And honestly, they would be better off if they were here legally and had certain protections when it comes to employment that I'm guessing some illegals have to deal with. It really is a win/win if we could figure out a better path forward for all involved.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

There are tons of immigration problems nobody mentions, and of course, the entire world is willing to spend everything they have to the Cartels to get here. As mentioned before, Ronald Reagan gave Citizenship to Millions of illegals in the 80’s that was supposed to end the problem permanently. We probably have 50 Million illegals since. Mexico likes the way things are done because lots of money is sent to their families in other countries, and not spent here.
*Birthright citizenship by tourism, when the 14th Amendment was Actually designed to not allow racist states to deny citizenship to freed slaves
*Asylum is open to everyone even though it’s almost all economic immigration, then no one is sent home
*Universities give (temporary) green cards to students who never go home
*States give (temporary work) green cards to workers who never leave
*Because of our subpar educational system, we need engineers, and mathematicians from other countries, but instead we usually get masses of people who can’t speak the language, and are needy.
Don’t forget what Milton Friedman said 40 years ago about an economic system built on welfare but which encourages a LIBERTARIAN Philosophy.
Free market supporters of immigration controls often quote Milton Friedman in support of their position: There is no doubt that free and open immigration is the right policy in a libertarian state, but in a welfare state it is a different story: the supply of immigrants will become infinite.
There are probably other things I haven’t mentioned.Last edited by Shockm; 2 days ago.
