Columbia denied two repatriation flights of the U.S. returning their citizens who came to the U.S. illegally. President Trump has directed the U.S. government to conduct immediately the following actions:

1. Travel band and immediate revocation of visas for all Columbia Government Officials.

2. Visa sanctions will be imposed on all Columbia socialist party members, family members, and supporters of the Colombian government.

3. Emergency sanctions of 25% on all goods coming into the U.S. will be increased to 50% after week 1.

4. "Enhanced" CBP (Custom and Border Protection) inspections of all Columbian Nationals and cargo on national security grounds.

5. Imposing emergency Treasury, banking and financial sanctions

People will learn that, at least for the next four years, there is a new Sheriff in town, and the lawlessness and getting over on the U.S. will end, or they will pay a price.

Interesting, the Colombian newspapers are not yet covering the story. U.S. state department has confirmed with the Columbian TV news station Notias RCN that U.S. VISA section is closed as of Monday.

While I agree that our borders should be vigorously defended, I don't agree with the diplomacy of publicly shaming/slamming/trashing country officials that don't immediately heed our requests. This attitude across the world will eventually come back to bite us. And then what? We threaten with missiles?

Sanctions/tariffs/etc. are not secret weapons, particularly when it is on goods that we need. Coffee prices are already rising in the States. I'm guessing we get a lot of coffee from Columbia?

I have no problem with Trump rolling Tanks down to our southern border. Lock **** down today! But on the "criminals" (not all illegals are criminals), we can slowly repatriate them.

If they don't agree to take their illegal citizens back, then pressure on the diplomats and/or travel bans, denied visas, etc. sounds reasonable. But don't harm the American people who are addicted to coffee.

Columbian President is now offering to use his Presidential plane to repatriate deportees from the U.S. and wants the U.S. to only use civillian flights to send it people back.

Switzerland is becoming the powerhouse for importing into the U.S. They were ranked 14th in 2009, and now are ranked 3rd. U.S. is their biggest coffee customer.

Time for the world to remember what Japan learned about tactical victory's, anger the U.S. and you will waken the sleeping giant.

They don't. They import unroasted beans from places like Brazil, Costa Rica, and Germany and then do their own thing with it and export it to places like the US. Apparently they're good at whatever it is they do with the beans.

If you wanna label poor migrant workers who are crossing the border to pick our fruit, cotton, and vegetables, criminals, so be it. But you won't be looking very informed while doing so.

Our entire mass-farming economy is supported by those "criminals". If we round them all up, are you prepared to pay $18.00 a container for strawberries? You wanna see inflation REALLY pop?

A better idea would be to contact and identify all the illegals working on the farms; record their names, birthplace, fingerprints, etc. etc. Then offer them an immediate work visa for the farm they are working at. They would also need to renew the visa every year from here on out until they acquire a green card. By connecting the work visa to their farms, it wouldn't allow a scam to be created where a migrant just shows up at a farm, gets the work visa, and then runs down the street and starts a painting business - competing with local businesses. They can remain in this country, undocumented, to work on the farms as "documented farm workers".

This only pertains to the folks CURRENTLY in the country working at farms, of which, there are reportedly ONE MILLION!. If we deport them we are ****ed!

I'm for locking the border down as best we can with the latest and greatest technology available. If Pedro wants to come over and apply for a fruit picker job listed by ABC farms, then he can get the same "farm worker visa". I would be for a tiered citizenship system designed to keep our economy growing at maximum pace. This country has a SEVERE labor shortage in many areas. This does not help us in our race against China.

Yes, the Swiss have a chemical-free process for decaffeinating coffee beans. I was just looking into this last year when the traditional decaffeination process came under scrutiny.

I work with the granddaughter of "criminal" farm workers who came over in the 70's . The grandparents worked their way up to owning their own farm and have hard working kids and grandkids. Let's tear these families apart. Great idea...not.

Also, you can't tell me our economy doesn't depend on the $$ these migrants generate and spend. I'm no expert, but I don't see this ending well, especially when paired with the highly criticized tariffs increasing the prices of consumer goods.
