Nobody is escaping El Salvador's CECOT and the costs to deport and hold prisoners there is a FRACTION of what it costs to house them in the US:

Do you think violent crimes would drop in the US after people learned that they would be living out the rest of their lives like this as a penalty for those crimes? It will make criminals think twice, I'm sure.

My only issue with this is that once lefties regain power, they will demand those prisons to install big screen TVs, phones and Internet connected computers in each cell. And a big beautiful gym with all the latest equipment and a swimming pool. As well as demand tax payers give the family members weekly all expense paid trips for visitations. ACLU.....

That's the benefit of offshoring this stuff -- Dems have no control over the prisons in El Salvador.

Regimes change and with that relationships with neighbors. El Salvador is not the United States.
