HOWARD DEAN: The only problem is -- and this is initially going to seem like heresy from a progressive is -- the truth is everybody needs to pay more taxes, not just the rich. And it's a good start. But we're not going to get out of this deficit problem unless we raise taxes across the board

Who would have thought Howard Dean might actually make some sense. I still say you shouldn't talk about tax increases until you've established less spending. And less spending across the board. Everything should be on the table and some things should probably be done away with completely. Only when they get serious about the major spending issue they have in DC, should they even consider raising taxes on anyone.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

The monsters are Social Security, Medicare and coming soon Obamacare. Add to that unsustainable, and overly-generaous public employee pensions at all levels of government doled out in exchange for power (votes) and there is no way we can come anywhere close to funding all the future promises that have been made. This should have been tackled 20 years ago. But we kicked the can down the road then and we will probably do the same now. This could get very ugly at some point in the future.
