And YOU having to defend that, in today's world, is one of the many things wrong with us today. I hope we can get past this discourse so we can have honest and productive discussions going forward....but probably it's hoping against hope.

    • Gaetz withdrew from AG, so that's done. Probably wasn't going to be confirmed anyway.

Ok. I take your word for that.

While I don’t totally trust Gabbard, and she did make some questionable statements in 2017-19, I don’t think I have a good read on her (Are you sure your “read” is accurate?). I like most of what she has said recently, and she did put her life on the line in combat, so I think that qualifies her as a patriot. I also think that RFK has made some vax comments that are questionable, but he and Dr. Jay Battachrya (who is up for a position under RFK) both are willing to question the scientific status quo and debate the path forward, creating a system where people have good information to make educated decisions for themselves and family. The Polio vaccine is an example of a vaccine that makes America healthier imo. The one fact I feel confident in, is that Trump, and his leadership picks are first of all concerned with Americans 1st, where the Democrats are aligned with World Government objectives, and the Elites of Europe (people like Emmanuel Macron, V.P. Gore, Biden, and Obama).

Finally, we all have made statements that when dissected, can be misunderstood.

        • Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is named as the replacement for Gaetz.

Now, we need Gabbard and Pete Hegseth to quit.

Kinda what I suspected all along. It was an out for him.

Gaetz was ONE VOTE short. Murkowski - AK Collins - ME Curtis - UT McConnell - KY

              (I woulda guessed 15)

The 4 were definite no votes come hell or high water. I'm sure their were quite a few more on the fences. Whatever motivations were behind Gaetz' nomination the result is Trump ends up with a much better choice in Pam Bondi in just about every way.

It will be interesting to see where Gaetz ends up but a lot of people believe he is coveting the Florida governorship once DeSantis is termed out in 2026.

Trump is expected to offer Kelly Loeffler the job as the Secretary of Agriculture, I'm told. She's expected at Mar-a-Lago Club this afternoon.

You sure you aren't putting words that were never spoken in someone's mouth? I don't see where he ever came close to even implying anything like that. Maybe I missed it?

Used to not be a fan of Murkowski (when I was a Trumper), now I'm all like... GO MURK! GO Turtle!
