This debate felt like two Democrats arguing whether they wanted sweet-n-sour or ranch sauce for their chicken nuggets. These guys were more presidential than dementia don or the cackling witch.

I was texting with friends and the opinion was we wished these 2 were running for President instead of the undercard.

The exact same way they say inflation is down more under Biden/Harris. Coming down is better than always down, apparently.

Both President Trump and Biden share the exact same percentage of responsibility over the movement (up or down) of inflation since the onset of the pandemic. And that is right around zero.

In fact, you and I being savvy consumers have way more effect on inflation than any president could (or should).

Vance is an excellent speaker, but he's born again hard w/ respect to Trump's worst tendencies. He's spewed wayyy too much conspiratorial propaganda online. If he's sincere, his brain doesn't work right. If he's insincere, he's just plain dishonest. Both are bad.

We need to move far away from the Trump model for the Republican Party to be taken seriously,... by serious thinkers again.

The good news for Trump fans is this country doesn't have a lot of serious thinkers in it, so he may win.

If this election shows anything, it's that a VP IS important. Had the Dems picked a qualified VP last go round, they would be in a much better position today. And the U.S. wouldn't currently be a ghost ship wandering around on the foreign stage. I still prefer Desantis over Vance, as I don't like senators in the executive office, but Vance will be a competent VP, if Trump wins.
