Some of the more interesting things he found out
- Crooks fired the first 8 shots, and a 9th shot happened when a Butler SWAT officer returned fire from the ground about 100 yards away. He missed Crooks but hit his rifle stock and likely made Crooks' gun inoperable. A few seconds later, a secret service sniper on top of one of the red barns shot Crooks in the head.
- The Butler County tactical command had set up radios for law enforcement to keep in contact with each other, but the secret service never picked up the radios that were set aside for them.
- Higgins asked to see Crooks body but found out he Crooks had been cremated 10 days after the event.
