Kudos to the secret service for quick elimination of the shooter but OTOH there are no excuses for not securing that potential snipers spot. Something smells here. Either extreme incompetence (not likely) or that shooter was allowed to get up there.

You can hear the secret service agent say "shooter's down" before they escort him out. So he's hearing that in his ear piece and it implies to me either the second volley or the loan shot you hear much later was the shooter being taken out.
