Middle America would be Tx, OK, Ks, ND, SD, Wy, Id, Mont, WI, IA, MN, LA, AR, MS, AL, AK, GA, NC, SC, TN, KY. Nebraska and Mizzou can go either way. If Mizzou want to fly with Illinois, etc (the Progressive States of America) I think we could let them have Douglas, Wyndotte, Johnson and Leavenworth counties. I kinda want Florida, but I'm not totally committed.

Romney touches on those who will vote for Obama (Dems) because they don't pay taxes and rely on gov't handouts. Apparently he talked about it at some fundraiser a while back and video was just posted. Obama has hammered him on it, but Romney is being absolutely honest about it and saying what just about everyone knows.

The thought of lowering taxes doesn't appeal to those who don't pay taxes.
The thought of smaller government doesn't appeal to those who rely on big government.
The thought of working for something and doing something for yourself doesn't appeal to those who enjoy being paid to be lazy bums.

We're dangerously close to the point of no return. I don't know how many of the 47% actually vote, but the more that do, the closer we come to going over the cliff without a parachute or any hope of recovery.

I agree. As you point out, the only silver lining I see is that these people who are too lazy to provide for themselves and take responsibility for themselves are also too lazy to vote. Many of them will though. Again, if you are on welfare, you shouldn't be allowed to vote, it's a conflict of interest and may be the only thing that can save our republic.
