San Francisco Has Spoken: Chesa Boudin Has Been Recalled

San Franciscans voted overwhelmingly to recall Boudin. According to Fox News’ Bill Melugin, the first batch of votes were 61 percent YES on recall, and 38 percent NO.

Hard to believe 38% voted to retain this thing. But it is San Fransisco.

His parents, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, were Weather Underground members.

When Boudin was 14 months old, his parents were arrested for three murders associated with the Brink's robbery of 1981 in Rockland County, New York.

His mother was sentenced to 20 years to life and his father to 75 years to life for the felony murders of two police officers and a security guard. After his parents were incarcerated, Boudin was raised by "adoptive parents" Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

Kathy Boudin was released under parole supervision in 2003. The 2012 film The Company You Keep is loosely based on his family history.

Boudin descends from a long left-wing lineage. His great-great-uncle, Louis B. Boudin, was a Marxist theoretician and author of a two-volume history of the Supreme Court's influence on American government, and his grandfather, Leonard Boudin, was an attorney who represented controversial clients such as Fidel Castro, Judith Coplon, and Paul Robeson. Boudin is also related to Michael Boudin, a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and I.F. Stone, an independent journalist.

Rep. Paul Gosar currently represents the fourth congressional district in Arizona, but he’s running in AZ-09 in 2022. So, that leaves the AZ-04 up for grabs, with several Republican candidates trying to win the primary on August 2, including Jerone Davison, Kelly Cooper, Dave Giles, Rene Lopez, and Tanya Wheeless.

Davison may have just set himself apart from the field with an ad that’s lighting up the internet. It’s already garnered more than a million views.

Davison is a former Arizona State University and NFL running back, according to his campaign website. He’s also been a pastor since 2005. But the ad wasn’t about his football career or his work as a pastor; it was on our Second Amendment rights and how wrong Democrats are to tell us what we “need” when it comes to guns or magazines.

Apparently Arizona Republicans weren't as impressed with the ad. He finished in 5th place on Tuesday (last).
