  • Andrew Breitbart is dead

Conservative firebrand Andrew Breitbart has died at age 43
Andrew Breitbart, the conservative firebrand and web publisher, has died, according to his Big Government website.

In a brief post, the site said he died at age 43 of natural causes.

His death was confirmed to msnbc.com by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office.

According to the Associated Press, Breitbart was walking near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday when he collapsed, his father-in-law Orson Bean said.

I'm saddened by this news. I always thought Breitbart's heart was in the right place. He made for some great interviews and was perfect for TV in this day and age. He's the first conservative I can recall that took the liberal way of talking about matters and used it for the conservative side. Not sure that last sentence came out like I wanted it to, but I hope it's understandable.

Rest in peace Mr. Breitbart. My prayers go out to his friends and family.

The following is what Greg Gutfeld has to say about Breitbart.

I didn't know Orson Bean was his father-in-law.

Another little known fact, Orson Wells was his godfather.
