  • Lever action anyone?

I’ve been eyeing a Henry big boy at my local gun retailer. Anyone have experience with these? I keep changing my mind on the caliber I want, but if I could find any rounds in general, I might buy that caliber.

I purchased this in .357 Mag. It’s California compliant.

Well I do have a S&W 686 in .357 mag as well. I at least need a bandolier.

Shall we call that the original "man purse"? ^_^

It’s a 16 inch carbine with a tubular mag, so only 7 rounds (same as my revolver). You can get longer barrels and therefore more rounds (10).

I almost got it in 45-70 gov, but I didn’t want to fire those $3 elephant killers out of a rifle with a brass plate as a butt pad.

Should have went for the 45-70. Chic's round these parts dig purple butt plate shoulder bruises. Oh Mosin-Nagant!

You used to be able to pick up a military surplus Mosin for around 100 bucks. I have a couple. This is the rifle that stopped the Nazi's. Pretty much the equivalent of a 30-06 w/ a steel butt plate. Ouchies! People used to shoot at each other with these rifles! Not a lot of use for a medic back in those days...
