    Pretty decent analysis, here.

I'm guessing that it's easier to privately pull a lever for Romney than it is to caucus for him.

Romney's campaign has to be aware of that - not that it shouldn't make them nervous.

Also, in terms of stockpiling delegates, yesterday was almost not even worth mentioning.

    I'd score the results thus:

Romney - Bad. Ultimately, no big deal.
Santorum - Good. Ultimately, no big deal.
Gingrich - Real Real Real Bad. Ultimately, bad. His campaign was nearly a million dollars in debt (last I heard), and fundraising can't be going well for an increasingly obvious non-viable candidate. What a mess. There goes our moon base. I really thought that "Vote for Newt! Annoy a Liberal! Get a totally awesome moon base!" was a winning ticket. Maybe he should have said something about those old bones that Satan buried in rocks and caves to trick men into believing in evolution. Unfortunately, too many voters in Florida and Arizona have first hand memories of what is was like when dinosaurs roamed the earth.. and they vote.

    Two observations:

    1. Romney still has a massive advantage (presence, organizationally, financially) nationally, but GOP voters really really enjoy making him dance.

    2. More debates. Definitely we need more debates.
I think Pringles original intention was to make tennis balls... but on the day the rubber was supposed to show up a truckload of potatoes came. Pringles is a laid-back company, so they just said, "**** it, cut em up!" - MH

      Nate Silver does good work.

The interesting result is Missouri - without Gingrich on the ballot Romney got taken to the woodshed.

I don't believe it changes anything.

I don't see how Romney is not the republican nominee. It would take a big screw up for him not to be IMO.

And how many does one need to officially secure the nomination?
