I have Android so can't even use Trump's thing. That alone kind of tells me that whoever was putting it together is an amatuer. An app like that should be as easy as pie to download and get going -- if it's going to compete with a Twitter. Regardless of it's censoring and pushing your feed, Twitter is pretty straightforward to use.

Not me. I got wait listed. Never heard anything more. Then when I tried to reregister it told me the account already existed, so I asked for a password reset and it told me that the account didn’t exist. It’s in some sort of loop.

I force closed the app and never had another issue.

It's difficult to not see an upside to Musk (except if you're a Democrat and think that Big Tech, properly done, creates a power imbalance that you want to keep) if you believe in balance. Musk said that if 10% of the Right, and 10% of the Left all are upset with Twitter, he will have been doing a good job.

Elon now owns Twitter. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out. He seems to say the right things on what he believes but time will tell.

Yeah, I agree. It would be nice if he could clean up Twitter and make it more of what it was probably envisioned to be in the first place vs the bot and manipulative nature it's turned into by some. I imagine he'll take it private and then if it makes money, take it public again at some point.

It'll be interesting to see how things go with the Twitter earnings report on the 28th. Some analysts have said the board may have wanted to get this done before then to offset the bad news of poor earnings.

The 1st thing will be news stories about how all the pro censorship employees were 'cancelled' or quit. This will of course be awful and mean. Those people aren't just gonna stop. Because they are true believers and more than willing to be martyrs. They will be told they had to sacrifice their beliefs in the name of free speech. And the culture at Twitter used to be fun, but then Musk made it scary and dark (nazi-like), because now all the right wing crazies got to push their radical conspiracies and such.
