    UNBELIEVABLE STORY

Do you wanna know where the PPE funds went? Prisoners bilked the State of California for millions of dollars. Scott Peterson was even involved from Death Row. When Fed prosecutors told the agency what was happening, the state agency refused to stop payments, because no charges had been brought against the prisoners and continued to pay until the charges were issued. This is a great case to show what happens with Big Government.

    Is it really unbelievable?

Any time that government is handing out taxpayer money, there is fraud. It's just another reason that government should be less involved in pretty much anything.

They handed out money to death row prisoners. Then continued when they found out. YES. That is unbelievable anywhere but California. By the way, Cali Gov. said it was unacceptable. Ya think?

My lib friends would just count it as a cost of having government. Not that California government is too big.

There are reports it could be up to a billion dollars that was given out. The incompetence of the CA government literally from top to bottom is astounding. This is precisely why I don't believe or follow a single thing they say. It's like Costanza, you should do the opposite of what they say because that is probably correct.

This is also why I will never vote for any tax increase in this state. I cannot justify trusting these idiots with any more money.

Absolutely poor administration. In general our government doesn't have enough auditors. IRS, GSA, HHS, money just flows out the doors. When cuts are made, tbe auditors and inspectors are first to go even though they are actually net positive to the cost of the programs.

My solution to this: stop giving away money.

How did all of them know to do it? Someone had to put the idea in their mind and that it would work. Who was that person(s)?

But it doesn't sound like ANY of them were denied!! Surely one out of 35,000 would have been denied, right? This just smells like some organized grift at some level, either mafia or government.

Why are you trying to distinguish between criminals, organized crime, and the government?

I found this funny (and unexpected) while having a beer with my socialist friend:

He was lamenting the racist nature of American society and the problematic “caste” system in which we place black and brown folks in this country, when he stated that our racism was no longer open, but had become hidden. I asked him what covert racists he had been associating with, whence he replied, “do you not know any liberals?”

Makes one wonder that if there were only "on-line" stores, where would they get their "reparations" from?
