  • Biden Covid Advisor: 4-6 week Lockdown Needed

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/11/bide...e-economy.html

Shutting down businesses and paying people for lost wages for four to six weeks could help keep the coronavirus pandemic in check and get the economy on track until a vaccine is approved and distributed, said Dr. Michael Osterholm, a coronavirus advisor to President-elect Joe Biden.

“We could pay for a package right now to cover all of the wages, lost wages for individual workers for losses to small companies to medium-sized companies or city, state, county governments. We could do all of that,” he said. “If we did that, then we could lockdown for four-to-six weeks.”
Cold will be happy. Mandatory masking while we are locked down in our houses.

I would project this will occur during March Madness...

They haven’t learned their lesson yet. It was a stupid act to shut down last March. It won’t solve anything.

Get the economy back on track? It's back on track now. Another lockdown would just destroy it for good. Which is probably their goal all along. Institute a never to be gotten rid of UBI into society and add another 10-15% more to permanent government dependency. Disastrous. And something tells me it wouldn't do anything for Covid. The magical death virus.

Biden has no authority until Jan. 20, by then it will be far too late. The Trumpster will double-down on his "rounding the corner" narrative until then.

Let's look at the bright side, the burden on Social Security and Medicare/caid is getting a little lower every day...

A lockdown would stop the infection spike, but I don't think that's necessary.

We just need a national mask mandate with a stiff penalty for egregious violators.

Then we lock down the restaurants, bars, gyms, and churches for 4-6 weeks and we'll see the infections decline to a "reasonable" level.
