It’s not residential. Mostly warehouses, so whatever the death toll ends up being, it will be far less than it could have been.
Thankfully true, but you can definitely see a smattering of apartment buildings in the fringe of the blast radius. I gotta believe this is a four figure death toll.
Is Trump the only one saying it looks like an attack or has he changed his mind?
It did look like an attack. Not saying it was but that's what it looked like. Also, do you believe Lebanese and Iranian news organizations? Iran keeps several large warehouses in the area where they store weapons for use by Hezbollah in their attacks on Israel. A natural first response is to think it was an attack. Nothing to be woke about.

He’s the only political figure stating that. There are a lot of conspiracy theories that Hezbollah was using the warehouse as a weapons cache. That wouldn’t surprise me one bit. Ammonium Nitrate is used in terrorist bomb plots reasonably frequently, and it’s quite possible that the “fireworks” seen prior to the explosion were small munitions.

I would guess 90%, minimum, of people seeing it for the first time thought the same thing. I sure did, taking into account the region.
Yeah, Hezbollah has been a presence in the Golan Heights for years, and they've been a part of the Lebanese Parliament since 1992, gaining many seats since.

"Those responsible will be held accountable whomever and wherever he is," interior minister Mohammed Fahmi told reporters Wednesday, adding that the investigation will take a maximum of five days.
Trying to apply a little common sense....in a country that is teetering on complete collapse, poverty running rampant, is it reasonable to assume that in one of their largest ports they choose to store massive amounts of FIREWORKS in one of the few storage facilities they have available? Was the Ding Dong storage facility full? Maybe the pinball arcade still had the Playboy machines on loan from LaMans and didn't have room? #Hardtobelievetheystoredfireworksthere
Texas City is pretty much a suburb of Houston, we we've been hearing a lot about it. Same root cause, similar circumstances. Worst industrial accident in U. S. history.

Oh, and don't forget about the Russian ship full of ammonium nitrate "bound for Mozambique" that has been sitting in the Beirut port for 7 years because of a "financial snag". Lot's of far fetched lies being told about the real cause. The truth is because of widespread corruption and the ease of hiding information, Beirut has been a hub for these kinds of shenanigans for a LONG time.
