    • A long term warming trend in place which environmentalists claim that rising CO2 levels are adding to... But interesting that they rarely acknowledge the possibility of a long term natural global warming event.

CO2 certainly has a warming effect, but its likely within the error bars of the temperature. The whole environmental alarmism is based on a hypothesis that the poorly understood feedback loop will reach a tipping point that will accelerate the warming.

Did a 1922 Article Warn of Oceans Warming?

A newspaper article warning that climate change was melting Arctic ice and disrupting wildlife was published nearly a century ago.

The answer appears be yes. It was actually an AP report. It did appear on page 2 of the Washington Post on 2 November of that year:

              • Tony Heller posts videos like these all the time. Posting news articles from long ago that basically debunk all the 'worst ever', 'hottest on record', 'never before seen levels of' afticles that come out now. He also goes back and works through the data that these articles use and pretty much calls out the subjective endpoints and beginning points used on graphs to frame the narrative. In addition to all of the numerous dire prediction made in the past that have not come to fruition. You will need to go to Rumble as, I think he is banned from Youtube (in casr you needed more of a reason).

                • Not a new story, but perhaps you missed this last summer:

NHTSA Issues Chevy Bolt Spontaneous Combustion Warning

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an alert for all 2017 to 2019 Chevrolet Bolt owners, following the recent fire in Vermont State Representative Timothy Briglin’s car and another noted in the missive. This is, of course, after two safety recalls for potential fire hazard due to a manufacturing defect in the LG Chem battery packs.

On Wednesday afternoon, the NHTSA officially told used Bolt owners to park their vehicles outside and away from buildings whenever possible, and also recommended that Bolts not be left charging overnight. Both of these recommendations make Bolt ownership annoying at best and impossible at worst.

I’ve watched several Tony Heller videos and he puts out A TON! IMO, he provides many great points, but he also overstates his case in some. I would have more respect for him if he ever did a “yes, but” video.

                      • The Sun Versus CO2 as the Cause of Climate Change Projected to 2050

The authors say the earth “is now in the early stages of cooling that might be similar to the Dalton Minimum and last for three or four decades. Average temperatures can drop by up to 1.5 degrees C and increase the rate of crop failures that have already started. It won’t be easy to maintain the benefits of the recent warm phase of the Sun during the upcoming solar minimum.” That’s 2.7 degrees F, and significant.

Christian over at Ice Age Farmer pulled together a compendium of disasters that occurred during the Maunder GSM of 1645 through 1715. It shows that colder and harsher weather resulted in a patchwork of drought, flood, hard winters, and famine throughout the minimum. We need to remember that, of the general population in the late 1600s, about 90% were engaged in farming. Today, less than 1% of Americans are farmers and ranchers, and only 2% of us live on farms.

                        • Here’s a great 6 minute video that everyone should view. Agree or disagree, this presents a great framing of the argument that must be considered when trying to produce solutions to pollution, climate change, etc.

                          • There were 9 total eagles confirmed dead from the turbines over a 10 year period in 8 states. Every year an estimated 33000 of the 330000 die of natural or human cause. ESI is negligible for about 0.02% of those deaths.

Those that want to shut down fossil fuel usage are the same people that want to prosecute wind turbine death. It’s not that they want renewables, it’s that they think nature is inherently good and the part of nature that is humanity is inherently bad.
