  • Deja Vu: WKRP Turkey Drop Repeated in AR?

Some may remember the WKRP in Cincinnati episode where they do a promotion that goes wrong where they drop turkeys from helicopter - if not here is a clip from it

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

A town in Arkansas is now doing the same thing.

    Supporter of the event

Fans of the drop say it doesn't hurt the turkeys, which float to the ground. Lunsford says he's seen video of a turkey falling straight down and bouncing off the roof of a building.
    The FAA

An FAA spokesman tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ( http://bit.ly/riRPHL) that the agency will track any pilot who drops wild turkeys over the tiny north Arkansas town. Offenders could lose their licenses.

Dropping wild turkeys?...........I wonder if that might work? Gordon Jump, who played the station owner on WKRP, was a Kansan, I think. That remains one of the funniest episodes ever on television. Of course, those were "butterballs", not wild turkeys......
