pretend huntsman = santorum = non-factor. Their support is running about 2-3% with a flat trend. If one survives after Iowa then maybe you see one break 5%.

Ok. I got this feeling Santorum could break free a bit, but it's nothing other than a hunch. Your stats are killing my instinct though.

I think it is a good hunch. There are some stories that Santorum is surging in Iowa. But I have not seen any poll numbers to that effect either on the local or national level. I could see if he did make a good showing in Iowa and get some more national attention that he could have surge nationally especially as conservatives leave Gingrich.

The effects of Iowa now are now starting to show in the national polls. Santorum is seeing a surge (also seen in the NH polls).

                [down]
Gingrich - Quickly Going the way of Cain/Perry

                [Meh]
Paul - steady as she goes
Bachman/Huntsman - two peas in the pod, why are they pretending?
Perry - hoping for miracle or is he staying in to help Romney?

Gingrich - new life with the SC win and him being chippy in the debate. How long will this life last?

                  [down]
Romney - It looked like he was about to lock it up and was going to surge, but now he is in a free fall in Florida and the gallup is showing weakness.
Santorum - He had a chance, but he could never get it rolling. How will his votes break when he drops out?

                  [Meh]
Paul - He has his followers, but can't expand beyond them.

                      Romney - steady trend up...
Santorum - still has some momentum, the question is do you believe PPP poll that has him at 38%, make you think they have him and Romney mixed up.

                      [down]
Gingrich - Pretty dynamic polling, it is like people want to like him, but then he opens up his mouth.

                      [Meh]
Paul - He has his followers, but can't expand beyond them.

Would Gingrich please just give up now so that we can compare Romney with Santorum without a split vote?

Oh and Paul too. Just quit.

rise and fall off candidates. Santorum was so close to shaking up the race, but Romney continues to plug along...

RDR and I went to Centry II on Friday afternoon, complete ZOO, I thought that we were going to be forced to get a Ron Paul tattoo before we could leave. All ages and sizes supporting Paul, very strange looking cross section of voters.

Sorry I missed that, but actually, I was thinking of more of a small butterfly........maybe on my ankle.

That was a GOP caucus, not Dem.
