  • Black Caucus and the Tea Party

I passed on posting about the comments that came from the absurd mouth of one Maxine Waters when she said the Tea Party can go straight to hell. Now another member is basically saying the Tea Party are a bunch of racists who want to go back to the Jim Crow era. I guess if you don't have a leg to stand on in the debate of why you're failing to get your agenda across, you attack the group you see as your biggest threat to social engineering... Rep. Andre Carson: Tea Party Wants to See Black Americans 'Hanging on a Tree'

At least one member doesn't have his head up his ass.
The remark drew a rebuke from Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., the only black Republican in the Congressional Black Caucus, who said he's thinking about "reconsidering" his membership in the body in light of such comments.

"I think we should move away from using that type of language," West told Fox News, calling the remarks "reprehensible." He said some lawmakers are using the Tea Party as a "scapegoat" for broader problems.

It's clear that the left doesn't understand the Tea Party in any way, shape or form. And since they know it has enough influence that they can't ignore it, the next option is to attack, name-call and fear-monger.

      Carson stands by his comments

Additional comments by one of his aides that supports the notion they either don't understand or they fully understand and are part of a concerted effort to discredit the Tea Party with unfounded, hyper-sensational character attacks.
