  • PJTV: Andrew Klavan's Rules for Wannabe Pundits

After an “earthquake” and now some nasty lady named Irene bearing down on NYC (the NYC based blogger at HotAir , Allahpundit, aptly described the general mood, “the official hurricane threat level has already been raised from ‘Hipster-ish Aloofness’ to ‘Annoyance At Being Inconvenienced.’ Next step: Wet Your Pants’”) I needed another laugh.

PJTV: Andrew Klavan's Rules for Wannabe Pundits

The rules: (1) When trying to predict the political future it is important to consider all the possible meanings of all the facts you already have. Failure to follow this rule can lead to serious miscalculations; (2) Before making observations about world events try taking your head out of your a$$; and (3) Don’t let Paul Krugman get anywhere near you, or your family, or the economy.

This might be the first time I can agree with Krugman.

When the aliens attack, the economy will not be the #1 issue.

Not that anyone cares. I hear a microburst generated 80 plus winds near Kansas City recently.

Irene was scary – for many reasons (I was there). It was make or break for a while Sunday morning, flooding, which I would witness,, was a huge concern,.,, but it didn’t breach, and many others were that lucky.

I read, multiple threads related to severe weather on this forum – but nothing that commented on the last 48 hrs in the Northeast. All the same, all is well in NYC.
