Listening in to a Tea Party speaker . . .
Speaker: We de-funded ACORN!
Tea Party: Yeah!!!
Speaker: We're going to de-fund Planned Parenthood!
Tea Party: Yeah!!!
Speaker: No more subsidies for that left-leaning NPR!
Tea Party: Yeah!!!
Speaker: That's saving us a couple hundred million. Then we're going to downsize all those federal departments and eliminate the czars!
Tea Party: Yeah!!!
Speaker: That'll give us a billion or two. Now you ready for the big one? That'll save us tens or even hundreds of billions?
Tea Party: Tell us!
Speaker: We're going to cut back on entitlements like Medicare and Medicaid, eventually letting the private sector handle it.
Tea Party: Whoa!!!! Hold the phone! That's awfully close to home! We didn't sign up for that! We thought you were only going to do all that other stuff that won't affect us.
