Just heard this on sports radio, what a great player he was. Also a much valued baseball card as a kid.I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum. -
I'm a Cardinal fan and grew up on the Cards/Cubs rivalry. However, it was always hard for me to dislike the Cubs because of guys like Santo, Billy Williams, and Ernie Banks.
One of the things that many young fans of baseball will have a hard time ever feeling is that of a loyal fan with a player of that team who spent most, if not all, of their career there. I can understand the loss Cub fans are feeling today. I'm not looking forward to that day that Stan the Man passes.Comment
