I think they could jack up their price as much as they wanted to. I'm also sure I could find $4.00 worth of stuff I don't care for to make up for it.

Well I think it is partly demand. When you think about all the rights they buy from other networks to show the highlights of all the games that happen that day, it adds up pretty fast. That's why FSN and NFL Network are high up there too. And they also bid for the bowl games, Monday Night Football, etc.
