It was there home opener, on Monday Night Football, against the defending Super Bowl champs. Thats the most pumped up there going to be all season, any team would get pumped out of there minds in the 49ers position. The whole league is watching.

SF was the sexy pick going in to the season. Alex Smith is not a starting QB for a good NFL team. He would be a good back up, and that is about it.

The Chiefs have shown they have a pretty legit Defense. We will see what the Chiefs are really made of after there bye week with games @Indy and @Houston.

Whatever else you can say about SF, they have had the best rush defense in the league over the last four years, and even in their first two loses, they gave up only 63.5 yards rushing per game (77 to Seattle and 50 to New Orleans). The Chiefs rushing for 207 yards against that defense is legit.

Not to mention that, given KC's anemic showing in the passing game the first two weeks, SF had to be stacking to stop the run first. Pretty astonishing that the Chiefs could run on them to that extent.

At some point defenses are just going to key on that because the Chiefs haven't showed anything else. When that happens, can they adjust?...
I definitely agree, even the screens and sweeps set up that long pass to Bowe. There was that nice 20 yard td pass to Moeaki down the seam. It was a little high, but only Moeaki was going to be able to catch that. He seems to be the favorite target.

Cassel seems to overthrow longer passes(as in height). The short passes are there to help him get in a rhythm and get some confidence in him so he can start completing the deep ball. It just happened that the screens and short passes were very effective against SF.

Moss's was pretty good too. It will be between those two so far.

yea, but moss didnt really have to jump up to get his, Moeaki had to jump and fully extend his arm and then hold on to the ball as he hit the ground.

And just think.. if Kansas City didn't have a QB that threw so badly, this wouldn't even have been that great of a catch!

The fact that he waited until after the game and weekend to have the surgery, shows that he is very committed to this team.

I don't even know where to start with the Shaun Smith situation if the accusations are true about him on the field.
