We had an AT&T salesman come to the door recently pushing the Uverse service that is now available in my area. I pondered the thought of changing over from Cox because AT&T seemed to provide more services for less money - cable tv, Internet, phone. My wife reminded me that we would no longer receive KS Channel 22 - home of Shocker games - so it became a no-brainer, no change would take place.

Have any of you changed over from Cox to AT&T or vice-versa?

My dad changed right before basketball season last year. Looked good. More services less money. I reminded him about the no cox22 so he calls them up and asks them if they plan on getting it.

I shook my head laughed and moved on.

i plan on switching soon. As long as WSU opens shockervision for everyone I wont miss Cox22 at all.

I will happily pay more to do business with anyone other than AT&T!

I switched over to AT&T almost 2 years ago, have liked it a lot better than Cox. I normally don't watch Shocker games at home anyway, so not having channel 22 hasn't really bothered me. It's nice though that Cox is finally starting to offer some of the same things that AT&T started offering over 2 years ago, such as on screen caller ID and whole house DVR....both have been very handy.

Yeah, I have 3 TV's all connected to AT&T, which also means they all get every digital channel, HD, and are connected to the DVR. Taking into account the $5 per month per TV it was still $25 less than I was paying for Cox plus I got more channels and a $200 VISA gift card. Also with AT&T the basic package includes your home phone loaded with every option plus unlimited long distance. With Cox I paid the same and just got basic phone service (no caller ID, call waiting, etc.) Pay less and get more, it was hard to turn down. Granted, Cox may have changed things a bit in over the last 2 years. I have a buddy who works in the Cox retention department. When he got the job he thought it would be interesting for them to tell him how he'd keep customers from leaving for a better product considering he had AT&T when he got the job. Of course he switched to Cox after he got the job, hard to pass up cable, internet and phone for $25 per month.

I use AT&T. So far its been great. Fast internet connections, and as good as my folks Direct TV for tv. I also received a $200 gift card. I used tech help a couple of times and they were very helpful.

The only negative thing I can say about AT&T is the KS22 issue. I wonder what the terms of the contract are with Cox. I hope they open it for bid soon. I would think WSU holds all the cards and could command a handsome fee. If AT&T won the rights I could foresee a mass exodus since this is the only advantage that Cox clings to.

My wife and I have had ATT for more than 2 years now and love it. We got rid of Cox because the service is/was horrible. In our experience, Cox offered an unreliable service with even worse service.

ATT has been great, and when The Shox play on ks22, I just go to the neighbors house and drink his beer.

What is the price per month ??? It's still available in my zip code.

I like the tv lineup if you can get FSN Midwest St Louis and watch some Cardinals games.
