  • A Cool Down is Finally on the way!!

Next week temps have the possibilities of actually dropping 7 or 8 degrees BELOW normal. Starting from sunday onward we should be around Climotological norm. It is too early to get specific on how low the temps could go but one model was showing them in the 70's for next Wednesday. Granted that is a week away and things do change. Enjoy it.....for however long it lasts....
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

    Let's hope this comes about.

Thank goodness...we are seeing water wells going dry north and east of town due to these conditions.

We need rain and cooler temps soon!

Hot weather is killing off the grass and leaves on trees. Been sweeping and raking leaves for 2 weeks now. Wont be much to rake this fall.

Yea. It will be nothing compared to last years Fall Foliage which was amazing because of the cooler temperatures and more precipitation.

I think I saw projections of temp approaching 100 again by the end of the week

Yea with no strong winds to keep this Canadian Airmass in place it will move eastward allowing the advance of Hot SW air back into the Plains for the Forseeable future. Most Likely for a week or so....

That's fine by me. Personally, I enjoy the hot weather as long as the humidity isn't at 80%

I don't mind winter either, as long as there's not a 20+ MPH wind out of the North.

You say that now in the middle of August, but I bet you change your mind when the middle of January hits.

Besides, I thought you were a severe weather fanatic?

I was in Wichita for the 108. It actually felt comfortable in Tucson after that.
