  • Headed back to Wichita- some questions

Headed back to Wichita Saturday. Will be there a couple of weeks. It's my wife's 40th high school reunion. What are the best Bar-B-Que places and best Thai restaurant? What's new in Old Town to check out?

I would have to say Two Brother's BBQ is my favorite or Famous Dave's on the East side. Don't know any Thai restaurants in town. Haven't been to Old Town lately, but my favorites or Mort's, Emerson Biggins, or Heroe's.

Two Brother's and Famous Dave's would be the two I'd recommend as well.

Two Brothers on North Rock Road. There may be a Thai restaurant at 21st and Woodlawn (SW area). There's also Da Cajun Shack there and an Indian place.
"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

Hmmm, my dad is also attending his 40th reunion Saturday night.

Didn't know of the one on W. Central. Knew there was one around Greenwich and Central but I think it's just carry out.

                  Go Hog Wild.

Actually, all BBQ sucks since Millers closed down.

Thai Traditions in Carriage Parkway is my favorite. Great pad thai and spring rolls and the red curry duck is to die for imho.

That's the only Thai place I've been to in Wichita. I liked it, as well. Nice atmosphere, too.

                      GarH,

It's not Malee's http://maleesthaibistro.com/ and they don't have the basil chicken, but it'll do for the 316.

Listen to the good Doctor on both accounts.

Two Brothers is fine if you want Quantity, but Hog Wild is where it's at. If you want to get adventurous try Bubba's Nekkid or Pig In Pig Out. Famous Dave's has my blessing if you want table service and a wider selection.

Been gone from Wichita a long time, wasn't there an R&S bar-b-que that was pretty good? Are they not around?
