Missed the game yesterday, but if that happened why isn't Hillman yelling and screaming at someone to appeal it? Did he see it and just sit there and not do anything? I've really tried to get behind Hillman but more and more I'm thinking Dayton needs to go another direction.

That's pretty much what Chris was saying on the radio this morning. He didn't sound too happy with the way the Royals were playing mentally.

And has anyone eles heard about the trade rumors with DeJesus? My brother mentioned something about it in an email today. If true, I can see kind of what they may be thinking. Maier looks alright and better with more PT. Robinson may very well be ready in the not too distant future. They're looking at Gordon in LF.

IF, they could get something of actual value I could accept it. I don't think he'll generate that type of value though. And if that's the case, it really sucks to lose a home grown product that is a good player and great guy in the community. He's one of the few fairly constant bright spots in KC. Don't trade him just because...

Because Herm Hillman sucks, and shouldnt have been brought back this year.

If the Royals are going to turn this poor start around, the next 10 games should be telling. 5 games against Cleveland (3 at home), 3 with the White Sox at home, and 2 at Baltimore.

Dayton can't say much because he hasn't improved the team either.

I don't follow the team & know all the players that make up the organization but I wonder what the plan is for your team. Keep spending money on old free agents while you patiently wait for the farm system to produce talent ???

The farm system takes time and it appears that KC is on the verge of getting more talent ready in the next year or so. Who knows how it'll pan out but I'm optitmistic about some of the guys in Omaha and NWA. I'm still high on Dayton and what he's doing as a whole. Hillman on the other hand....

It does take time. However, the Royals have had ONE winning season in the last 15 years and this year will make 16. Of the 10 teams listed on ESPN's MLB salary chart that are below the Royals, all have better records than the Royals and 6 have winning records so far. I wouldn't be surprised if the Royals had the worst overall record in baseball over that 15 years.
