Well the Blizzard Warnings that should have been for us are no for the southern OK northern TX area. They are probably getting snowfall rates upwards of 1.5 inches an hour down there. We will see to if it moves an further north but as of right now it is pretty much stalling. Talk about a christmas surprise for those folks. The LP is one state further south then predicted by the models. Thats a terrible job, oh well

They showed on the news that Oklahoma City is having a white out.

Strong Winds With Wind Gusts Of 45 To 55 Mph. Blizzard Conditions
At Times. Snowfall Will Average 4 To 8 Inches... But Southern
Oklahoma May Receive 8 To 11 Inches... Generally Between Lawton
      And Pauls Valley.

Yes If the storm had not gone south than we would be in those blizzard conditions right now. Be thankful for that.

Just a dusting here in Benton. It's still coming down and we may get and inch or so before it's all said and done.

They said on the news that all interstate highways and turnpikes in Oklahoma are being shut down because of all the accidents, including a 40-car pileup on I-40 near Midwest City.

They said Oklahoma City is already up to 11 inches, just 0.4 inch off their all time record.

Driving right now is pretty treacherous and even main intersections are bad (I saw a motorist stuck on Rock and Kellogg). Take care driving if you have to go out tonight.

Yea I know, I drove west on 254 out of El Dorado past Benton and I was amazed at the differences in accumulation. Even in El Dorado which is 15 miles north of my house there was about 1 or more less inches of snow there than here. It was a fun storm, nothing like sledding at the El Dorado Lake Dam on Christmas Afternoon.

I have a friend in Augusta who said they got a decent amount. It's just weird sometimes how there can be such a big difference at such a short distance. I'm convinced most of these things just go around my town.
